Chimichurri is a typical Argentinian herb marinade.
There are endless variations to this sauce. Our original Argentinian Chimichurri was made following the traditional family recipe of one of our cooperative members from Buenos Aires.
Tomatoes, fresh parsley and lots of garlic are the basis for the delicious sauce.
Our Chimichurri is
100% organic
local
vegan
additive-free
which means: our chimichurri is good for the environment and good for you!
How do you eat Chimichurri?
Chimichurri is mostly used in Argentina to dress meat dishes on the traditional “asado” grill.
But the sauce can serve as seasoning for just about anything!
Here are a few ideas on how to pep up your dishes with chimichurri:
as a spread, on its own or over cream cheese
mixed with mayonnaise as a sauce in your burger or with fries
on your Sunday morning eggs
as a quick sauce for pasta
and of course as a dip for your empanadas!
How is our Chimichurri made?
We make our chimichurri ourselves in Cologne, with ingredients from regional suppliers.
Have a look over our shoulder:
